AAT Certificate in Accounting (Business Stream) (NQF5)
This course prepares you for a professional career in accounting. It covers aspects such as how to prepare financial statements, how to manage budgets, and how to manage financial performance.
Once you have completed this course, you may use the professional designation MAAT behind your name (provided that you have the necessary work experience). You could also go on to enrol for the CIMA programme (at Managerial Level), the ACCA qualification, or a relevant degree programme at university.

Students must have completed the AAT Further Education and Training Certificate Accounting Technician (Business Stream) (NQF4)
- Financial Statements
- Financial Performance
- Internal Control and Accounting Systems
Plus two (2) of the following:
- Credit Management and Control
- Personal Tax
- Business Tax
- External Auditing
Assessment and award:
Upon completion of this course, students will be awarded an AAT Certificate in Accounting (Level 5).
