Knowing what you want to achieve with your studies plays an important role in making sure that you choose the right programme. To help you decide which direction is most suitable for you, here are short descriptions of each field of computer studies that we offer:

Basic computer studies

You can take a basic computer course to learn how to operate a computer and how to use Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook. You will be able to learn:

  • Basic computer concepts and terminology
  • Windows file management
  • Word processing with Microsoft Word
  • Spreadsheet design using Microsoft Excel
  • E-mail communication with Microsoft Outlook

In today’s world, computer literacy is a standard job requirement regardless of your field or profession. Whatever job you are in, you will most likely need to know how to use a computer. Basic computer studies is therefore a great option if you want an introduction to computers and you want to learn basic computer skills.

Depending on which course you take, you will also learn a range of non-computer skills that will help you build a career, such as skills in:
